Visitor Restrictions

posted Friday, Oct. 23, 2009

St. Clare Medical Center is committed to the safety and well-being of our patients, visitors and staff. In an effort to prevent the spread of the Influenza A H1N1 virus, we are taking additional precautions by limiting visitors to our facilities.

Effective immediately the following visitation restrictions will be in place:

  • No one under the age of 18 will be permitted to visit unless they are a parent.
  • Only healthy adults will be allowed to visit.
  • Only 2 visitors at a time per patient.

If you have the flu or flu-like symptoms (fever, cough, runny nose, headache, body aches), please stay home and take care of yourself. If you have been exposed to someone with the flu or flu-like symptoms in the last 5 days, please stay home.

Any visitor to the hospital may be screened for signs and symptoms of influenza and other illness prior to entrance. Any exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

We apologize for any inconvenience that these visitor restrictions may cause. However, we feel it is important to take these preventative steps for the protection of patients, hospital staff and visitors.
